Fifty of our favorite friends are headed back to Ireland in September 2024 — our 29th Trip from the Shannon Pub.
This is a Coach-Guided tour of the Republic of Ireland.
From the moment we land in Dublin, we take care of transportation, hotel rooms, and full Irish Breakfasts every morning. We include tours to Guinness Brewery, the Cliffs of Moher, Cobh Heritage Centre, and others. The days we’re not traveling between towns, we’ll have optional day trips to places like Avoca, Connemara, Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle, and Cobh Heritage Centre.
You are on your own for lunch and dinner every day, which leaves you plenty of time to explore and make friends with the locals. They don’t bite. We will recommend places to go each day and invite you to join us if you like.
We are collecting deposits now to hold the fifty spaces available.
There will also be a check-gathering party to pay the balance and meet fellow travelers. Details will follow via email.

Show up at the Buffalo Airport’s Anchor Bar at roughly 2pm, two hours ahead of flight
Fly to Boston at 4:55pm
Depart for Dublin via Aer Lingus at 9:25pm

Arrive Dublin Airport at about 8am
Shoot over to the Guinness Brewery for Tour, Pint at the Top (World’s #1 Attraction)
All Day and Night in Dublin!

Optional Day Trip to include places like Glendalough, Avoca, Bray, Wicklow Mountains
Plenty of time to walk Dubin, visit Book of Kells at Trinity, Pubs, Temple Bar, etc.

Leave very early to drive up to Shannon Airport for Flight Home.
Time for an Irish Coffee and Duty Free at the airport.
Aer Lingus flight leaves about 1:35pm local time.
Depart Boston for Buffalo at 9:05pm, arrive in Buffalo around 10:43pm.
Sleep like a baby in your own bed.

Our long-time guide/driver Dave has retired from driving, unfortunately! He has, however, promised to meet us for a pint when we get to Killarney. So, we’re not sure who his replacement will be, but I’m confident he’ll be fun. And knowledgeable. And funny! Oh, and a good, safe driver. With that in mind, we require a minimum 30 Euros (currently at $1.10/Euro) gratuity, and ask each person to give it to him personally at some point during the week.
