Our long-time guide/driver Dave has retired from driving, unfortunately! He has, however, promised to meet us for a pint when we get to Killarney. So, we’re not sure who his replacement will be, but I’m confident he’ll be fun. And knowledgeable. And funny! Oh, and a good, safe driver. With that in mind, we require a minimum 30 Euros (currently at $1.10/Euro) gratuity, and ask each person to give it to him personally at some point during the week.

We are flying out of Toronto this year. It’s a non-stop flight on Aer Lingus. We’ll offer a round-trip coach trip from Buffalo, included in the package.

For those of you who don’t do the Canada thing, for whatever reason, we’ll also have an option to fly out of Buffalo via JFK Airport. Same price either way. The only issue here is that you may have to identify and re-check your bags at JFK, which means going in and out of the secured area. Pain in the butt, I know, we’re working on it.

The third option is meeting us in Dublin. If you are traveling from Atlanta, or Las Vegas, or wherever… you are welcome to a Land-Only option ($800 per person discount), and you can meet us the first morning at the Guinness Storehouse Tour!

I recommend getting travel insurance. One never knows what might happen these days, and a $200 insurance policy is a comfort. I will have a couple of options to recommend in this website, once I’ve done some research. Generally, the Travel Insurance needs to be in place within three weeks of booking your place… Whether that means deposit date or balance date, not sure.
