Let’s go back to Ireland!
Fifty of our favorite friends are headed back to Ireland in September — our 26th Trip from the Shannon Pub.
This is a Coach-Guided tour of the Republic of Ireland.
From the moment we land in Dublin, we take care of transportation, hotel rooms, and full Irish Breakfasts every morning. We include tours to Guinness Brewery, the Cliffs of Moher, Irish National Stud Farm and Japanese Gardens, Cobh Heritage Centre, and others. The days we’re not traveling between towns, we’ll have optional day trips to places like Avoca, Connemara, Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle, and Cobh Heritage Centre.
You are on your own for lunch and dinner every day, which leaves you plenty of time to explore and make friends with the locals. They don’t bite. We will recommend places to go each day and invite you to join us if you like.
The COVID scare has dissipated, and things are pretty much back to normal these days in Ireland. You may need a mask in a bank or department store.
We are collecting deposits now to hold the fifty spaces allocated. You can cancel and have your deposit returned up to EARLY-June when the balance is due. Pricing is $2,699 based on double occupancy, $300 additional for single supplement if needed.
There will also be a check-gathering party in early-June, to pay the balance and meet fellow travelers. Details will follow via email.

Our long-time guide/driver Dave has retired from driving, unfortunately! He has, however, promised to meet us for a pint when we get to Killarney. So, we’re not sure who his replacement will be, but I’m confident he’ll be fun. And knowledgeable. And funny! Oh, and a good, safe driver. With that in mind, we require a minimum 30 Euros (currently at $1.10/Euro) gratuity, and ask each person to give it to him personally at some point during the week.

We are flying out of Toronto this year. It’s a non-stop flight on Aer Lingus. We’ll offer a round-trip coach trip from Buffalo, included in the package.
For those of you who don’t do the Canada thing, for whatever reason, we’ll also have an option to fly out of Buffalo via JFK Airport. Same price either way. The only issue here is that you may have to identify and re-check your bags at JFK, which means going in and out of the secured area. Pain in the butt, I know, we’re working on it.
The third option is meeting us in Dublin. If you are traveling from Atlanta, or Las Vegas, or wherever… you are welcome to a Land-Only option ($800 per person discount), and you can meet us the first morning at the Guinness Storehouse Tour! -
I recommend getting travel insurance. One never knows what might happen these days, and a $200 insurance policy is a comfort. I will have a couple of options to recommend in this website, once I’ve done some research. Generally, the Travel Insurance needs to be in place within three weeks of booking your place… Whether that means deposit date or balance date, not sure.
